This week's FFV snack is the red cactus pear. It is the fruit that grows on the prickly pear cactus, that is used in some Spanish cuisines (called nopales). The prickly pear cactus is native to the Americas and can be found abundantly in Mexico. The fruit is also called the cactus apple, tuna, and Indian fig, and resembles a watermelon.
