Our FFV snacks this week are golden plums! Plums may have been one of the first fruits that were cultivated by man, as they are not found in the wild. Plums are grown around the world, with China being the biggest producer of plums, growing over 8 times more than anywhere else. Plums begin as blossoms that need to be pollinated before they become fruit, and in a good year, about 50% of plum blossoms on a tree will turn into the fruit.
