Today, a few 6th grade female students from Waiʻanae, Leihōkū, Māʻili, Nānāikapono, and Nānākuli Elementary Schools were invited to attend the Girls' Conference: Dawn of a New Era. The goal of this conference is to instill the importance of higher education and provide resources and support so these young leaders can achieve their dreams and educational goals. It is held annually in March, around Girls' Day. The students are able to build new friendships and learn about personal hygiene and etiquette.
