Today, the other three first grade classes went to the Hawaiian Mission Houses. Here you see students being led inside the frame house, which is the "oldest wood frame structure still standing in the Hawaiian islands," having been shipped to Hawai'i from Boston in 1820. Students got to see the living room, the dining room, the kitchen, and several examples of bedrooms (and the types of beds they used back then!) to get a sense of what it was like living in the 1800s.
