This week we have tangerines for our FFV snack.

Tangerines are closely related to mandarin oranges. They were imported to Florida from Tangier, Morocco, which is where they got their name. They are smaller than regular oranges, but have a stronger sweetness. They are grown between autumn and spring, and are used in a variety of ways, from juices to spices (from the zest) to salads.
