The Parent Line (funded by the Hawaii State Department of Health and operated by Child and Family Service), is a free statewide confidential telephone line that is available to help parents discuss the experience with their keiki and manage the strong emotions that often come with trauma. The Parent Line is offering extended hours in response to Saturday’s incident and will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. beginning Tuesday, January 16th, through Friday, January 19th, to accommodate calls from parents statewide. The Parent Line may be accessed at 808-526-1222 (Oahu) or 1-800-816-1222 (Neighbor Islands).
