This week we have blueberries as our FFVP snack.


Blueberries get their blue color from a plant compound called anthocyanin, but this compound also gives blueberries many of their health benefits. These include helping with heart and skin health, bone strength, blood pressure, and mental health, among other things. However, too many blueberries may not be good for you if you take blood-thinners, as their high vitamin K content can affect blood clotting.
