We have persimmons this week as our FFVP snack.


Persimmons can be eaten fresh, dried, raw, or cooked. When fresh, you can eat them as you would an apple, or you can peel them before eating. Asian countries usually dry the fruit and eat it as a snack. In the United States, persimmons are often used in desserts such as pies, puddings, and as topping for breakfast cereal.
