Our 4th graders had an exciting and busy day! In the morning, they got to hear from Hōkūle’a apprentice navigator Kumu Noelani Kamalu about her adventures and learning experiences aboard the double-hulled canoe. Then in the afternoon, they got to visit with Uncle Buddy from Waimea Valley to play Hawaiian games that included ‘ulu maika. All in all, it was a day filled with fun and learning.
