Yesterday, H-101, H-203, and J-203 (3 of our 5 fourth-grade classes) visited Loko Ea, a loko i'a* (fishpond) located in the moku of Waialua.

The students observed things they have been learning in school. They were able to see things like the food chain (apex predators, secondary consumers, primary composers, producer, and decomposed), kilo - making observations, creating diagrams, and being a community contributor in real life while on the field trip.

*Loko i'a - a traditional Native Hawaiian fishpond used for sustainable aquaculture and food production.
