Our FFV snacks this week are mushrooms! Mushrooms are known as the "meat of the vegetable world" even though they are neither meat nor vegetable. They are used often in cooking in many cuisines. Be careful, though! Not all mushrooms are edible; some are toxic, and there is no easy way to tell if a mushroom is edible or poisonous. Mushrooms are also used for medicinal value in some cultures and can even be used to dye wool!
