Yesterday and today, the second graders went to Hawai'i Plantation Village in Waipahu. They were able to tour the grounds and see examples of Japanese and Puerto Rican houses, as well as the type of clothing they wore. They also got to see other aspects of culture, such as games, songs, and musical instruments that the different cultures used back in the plantation days.
