The Green Team repainted our storm drain signs. Did you know that the purpose of the storm drains is to prevent flooding by quickly transferring the rainwater to natural bodies of water, such as our ocean? So pouring pollutants down the drains will contaminate our ocean and its wildlife. Also unintentional things such as soap from washing cars, pesticides that were sprayed on lawns, and pet waste can get washed down the drains in rainy weather, damaging to our ocean's ecosystem. Please be aware of things that are poured or may get washed down the drain so we can help protect our oceans.
