Meet our new principal, Mr. Danny Addis.

Aloha and Welcome!

My name is Daniel Addis and I am the proud new principal of Leihoku Elementary School. Please join me in giving heartfelt thanks to retired principal Randy Miura for his 28 years of dedicated service to the Leihoku community. As the new principal, I have every intention of carrying on the legacy Randy built in providing a well-rounded education to each of our students to prepare them for success in the 21st century global society.

As you know, "Leihoku," means "Lei of Stars," a most appropriate name, as it reflects the values, character, and spirit of all those who enter this amazing campus. Our outstanding students, families, and staff (our STARS) are held together with a common purpose, like the string of a lei, of ensuring that each of our students develop and grow into life-long learners, complex thinkers, and community contributors. The focus of our efforts is to ensure that high student achievement is obtained through meaningful and purposeful instruction that is rigorous, and relevant, applicable to real life learning opportunities.

Leihoku's mission and vision of "Every Child, Every Time" embodies the commitment and dedication to the successful academic and social-emotional growth of every child, and the promise of service to every family. This is achieved by an enthusiastic and highly effective staff that is devoted to the success of our students in and out of school, and well beyond their formative years at Leihoku. Thus, Leihoku is truly a "Lei of Stars", special people in a special place.

Please join our Leihoku ohana, and may we serve you with the utmost care and dedication!

Mahalo!

Daniel Addis, Principal
