This week we have nectarines as our FFVP snack.

Nectarines are in the peach family, but unlike a fuzzy peach, they are smooth. They are grown throughout the warm regions all over the Earth. The nectarine first was domesticated in China more than 4,000 years ago! Nectarines have red, yellow, or white flesh, and they are a good source of vitamins A and C. Nectarines are usually eaten fresh or cooked in preserves, jams, and pies.
