Traffic Safety

Aloha Leihōkū 'Ohana,

Due to ongoing traffic concerns, the Honolulu Police Department applied for and received a grant to support traffic safety in and around selected public schools.  As you may know, the program was piloted a few weeks ago with the motorcycle policeman who was here in the mornings for a week, helping to raise safety awareness to motorists traveling around Leihōkū Elementary.  After this trial run, the program has now been approved to continue through the end of this school year and into the start of next school year.

As always, we thank you for being extra cautious when driving in a school zone, adhering to all traffic laws and parking signs.  We also thank you for your patience as we try to get all vehicles through the pick-up area as expeditiously as possible.  Everyone's safety is always our number one priority.
