Note from the Principal: Cooling Classrooms

Leihōkū Elementary is very pleased to be part of Governor Ige's initiative to cool classrooms. By December 2016, all of Leihōkū's classrooms will be air-conditioned. This air-conditioning project will begin with the 13 portable classrooms, with the bidding process beginning in mid May, followed by the air-conditioning package for the permanent buildings beginning in June or early July. We are on track to accomplish this project by November or December of this year. The completion of our recent electrical upgrade project will be provide the necessary electrical capacity to power this project. This will provide our teachers and students with a much needed classroom environment that is conducive to learning and high achievement.
